I recently had an opportunity to do the set up for a Networking Dinner- "Exporivaschuhindia". Organised by the trade division of the Italian Consulate. I wasn't even contemplating going into consultancy when I was offered this interesting project by Mr. Sameer Prasad the CEO of Faces Cosmetics. The Canadian brand that has been in India for sometime was opening its first stand-alone store in Pune and wanted me to help with the same. I found the project exciting and hence I readily accepted. Wednesday, February 12, 2014. A guy driving a swift on my left banged the side of my car. He had wanted to come from my left and take a right! Now wait, isn't that against the driving rules-"Do not over take from the left? And guess what, instead of apologizing he and his oh-so-devoted-wife, started screaming and blaming me for not seeing "both" my rear view mirrors before turning right! Now I'm thinking- why are we women soooo protective of our husbands? Do we truly believe they are capable of no wrong?

Umang and I drove back from Agra like maniacs, 'coz I was bent on watching CWG Inaugaration Ceremony that I had forgotten to set for recording in our Tata Sky Plus. And I'm so glad we did it. Not only did I see a live example of India Shining, (weren't the fireworks just brilliant? I am going to be that viewer who was pleasantly surprised by the cracker-of-an ad launched by Indian Railways on a commercial break between the games! If wishes were horses.
