A Broad way of Life: The Angel of the Night visits the desert
http://tessadarling.blogspot.com/2009/11/angel-of-night-visits-desert.html
Tuesday, November 10, 2009. The Angel of the Night visits the desert. I am so excited that I have FINALLY seen THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. After years of hearing the enchanting music from this show, I have now gotten a chance to see the bright and almost scary effects that go with it. After more than 23 years on Broadway, this is the longest running Broadway show. Trista Moldovan played Christine Daae. The Phantom was played by Tim Martin Gl. His voice also so amazing and powerful. Some people that hav...

A Broad way of Life: WoW for Wicked!
http://tessadarling.blogspot.com/2009/12/wow-for-wicked.html
Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Before I had the chance to see WICKED. I was already in love with the soundtrack. But I couldn't help but wonder what all the hype was. I mean, yes, the music and the vocal talent is amazing, but WICKED has a cult following that I, personally, have never seen before. As soon as I heard that RENT's. On the evening of the 17th, my six best friends and I went to our favorite Tempe Italian restaurant, Caffe Boa. And then went off to see the show! Wicked is now making $1.2 mil...

http://tessadarling.blogspot.com/2009/11/gleeful-for-glee.html

Now what does this have to do with Broadway? Several of the show's stars are former Broadway performers and there have been some other big names appearing on the show including WICKED. Slightly nerdy, but star Glee student Rachel Berry is played by Lea Michele. Michele, who started her broadway career when she was eight appearing in LES MISERABLES.

A Broad way of Life: Rocking out in Bangkok
http://tessadarling.blogspot.com/2009/11/rocking-out-in-bangkok.html
Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Rocking out in Bangkok. Ever since I was young, my family has always loved listening to soundtracks to both movies and Broadway shows. That is how I came to love many shows that I have never even seen; these shows have such powerful music that it doesn't matter that I cannot see the performers. I felt like I had already seen shows like MISS SAIGON. Just because I had been listening and loving their songs for so long. And "I Know Him So Well" from CHESS. I loved that summer!
