I'd rather be skiing. Or climbing. or surfing. Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Ok, so this non-stop renovation party has to end one day, right? My mind wanders easily and whilst plastering it's hard to not think about getting back on snow or rock so taking a break today I came across this guys blog about climbing in the cham valley, it's got me psyched out of my head to get outta here soon! I'd rather be skiing. Or climbing. or surfing. Sunday, February 20, 2011. Booderee NP, Jervis Bay. So, after a wonderful night up in the Blue Mountains, staying at Lillianfels (thanks guys! And eating at Darley's (greaaaat restaurant! We headed for a coastal getaway! On the southern side of Jervis Bay. All in a nice bush setting. Lucky for the full moon as we forgot our lantern! Just a 2 minute walk around the corner and. Green Patch Beach with an unsettled weather outlook. Your tax dollars hard at work!

Our first glance of the start of most routes from the midi - the arete. Looking across at our destination, Pointe Helbronner, behind and to the right of Gros Rognon in the middle. Looking back up the arete to the midi. Our route tracked around to the right of the basin, beneath the north face of Mont Blanc du Tacul (right) to the col in the center of frame.

I'd rather be skiing. Or climbing. or surfing. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Repairs for the red mist. Well, as luck would have it, I snapped a gear change cable on my scooter last week. Not too bad, managed to crawl home in 1st and picked up a new cable for cheap yesterday and the fix went off pretty much without a hitch! So, step 1, remove headlamp and speedo to reveal the frayed cable that was my 'up' gear selector. Remove rear cowling, and pull through the old wire. So far, so good. Links to this post.
