DR LASERMED: Follow up: Big Companies Behaving Badly
http://dr-lasermed.blogspot.com/2012/05/follow-up-big-companies-behaving-badly.html
Dr Lasermed is a grumpy gynecologist who comments about her practice, the state of medicine, women's health care and her triplet children. These are the thoughts of a cantankerous ol' gynecologist who remembers when things were a little different. I try to find a little humor in my life and the people I meet along the way. Come meet the characters in my world. Sunday, May 13, 2012. Follow up: Big Companies Behaving Badly. Or: Comcast, Where Are You? It took me a while to get back to this person. Original...

My Narrow Room: December 2012
http://mynarrowroom.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Homestretch with a Limp. This block has been tortuous. I've struggled to keep my motivation and bombed my first two exams. I need an 85% on our final to pass the course. I've been gunning the last couple of weeks because the idea of having to repeat this is about the worst nightmare I can think of right now. Besides, if I fail, I lose my scholarship thus costing me 60K. How's that for a perspective? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Last Gasp Pleasure Read Before the Grindstone.

My Narrow Room: March 2014
http://mynarrowroom.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 30, 2014. If I had time to think about it, I'd be so excited/terrified to start. This week, one of our professors was hospitalized. A hospital chaplain stopped by our lecture hall and lead a class prayer for recovery and our class president sent around a collection for flowers and a card to sign. Later that afternoon, during a small group study session, I asked Prez how Prof was doing. He said that Dr. P was doing much better and was being discharged the next morning. Le Pichet is, hands-do...

My Narrow Room: And We're Off!
http://mynarrowroom.blogspot.com/2013/08/and-were-off.html
Wednesday, August 7, 2013. School's started back up and we're already in 6th gear. I read 250 pages of patho, pharmo and Bates' before the first day of lectures which seems to be about par for reading assignments for the rest of the term. Yay. Today is the second day and I'm already behind. Last year, our doctoring course was a fou fou easy-pass write off. Not so this time around. I'm nervous about it. We have our first OSCE- neuro in less than two weeks. Slide 1: decreased TB transmission. Being less ca...

Gillatron: February 2015
http://gillatron.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Chronicles of a brand new family. Tuesday, February 10, 2015. So after our time in Kruger we were keen to get out and explore a little on our own. Having Kevin and Jen to show us all their favorite spots was great, but we wanted to see things through our touristy lens, and wallow around a little. Swaziland seemed like a good place to start. We rented a couple of cars, and with Bevil and Alex and their kids, went road-tripping. The life expectancy is 50. 1) pull up to border. 4) return to car and proceed ...
