Highlights include a new bike for Phil and scooter for Fiona, a major car accident (other party was at fault and we all seem to be ok), and an evening in the ER for Fiona after falling and splitting open her gum which then detached from the roof of her mouth. Saturday, September 5, 2009. Today would have been my grandmother's 87th birthday. She died a little over ten years ago, just months after Tom and I were married. She was a great lady. She would take us granddaughters to lunch and Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus for our birthdays to buy us clothes. The sales people all knew her by name and had things put aside for her. Sunday, May 31, 2009. Here are some highlights of the last couple of weeks! I am getting so happy to know that the hard part is over soon! Miles finished baseball, hit the ball well at his three bats in his last game, and came home with his trophy- very exciting. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Guppies and a rash at our house. What was unexpected is that Mandy is apparently part of the 5% of people who experience an allergic reaction to the iodine used as a dye for CT scans. And boy is she allergic! This morning she went in to see the doctor who said it would pass and that she should keep taking Benadryl.
