Thursday, April 19, 2012. The Alaska job is great, but not permenant, so the fam is not able to make the move. It's a bit of a sacrifice to say the least. Just thinking about the weather in Ketchikan was enough stress for Tamra to say, "No Way! So it's been a 2 week visit every 3 months. So far we are surviving. Monday, May 26, 2008. The King Family Angler's. We rented a skiff since they are having a special. $25 a day including gas! We loaded up the gear and gave the kids their first true solo hook-ups. They had a blast and we enjoyed watching them. We caught and released 19 rockfish. I even caught a sea cucumber off of the bottom. Malia was pretty upset that I threw it back before she could feel it. She has played with one before at a school beach outing last week. Links to this post. Sunday, May 18, 2008.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009. We spent the weekend of our race in Monterey with Grandma and Grandpa Strong. The weekend went too fast, but we had a great time! We saw some beautiful coastline, some amazing golf courses, and ate at some yummy restaurants. So I finally convinced Jason to run a half marathon with me. A few months ago I signed us up for the Big Sur trail half marathon, not really realizing how hard it was. But, we trained anyway, and ran the race last weekend. It was REALLY hard!
