2 E's, 2 L's and a Z in there somewhere. It's business.it's business time.". Tuesday, October 25, 2005. See you on the flip side. Http:/ club2005.upa.org/. Posted by Schmelz @ 7:45 PM. Friday, October 21, 2005. I love D-line and cutting but if you approach practice the way you should (as it they were tourneys), then when is the time to push the boundaries? And the turnaround quick. In club, your leaders can stick around for 8-10 years if things play out right. However, that transition seems to be...This ...

timmy's blog: January 2006
http://timmy930.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
A kind of ultimate frisbee blog. We will see how it goes. Tuesday, January 24, 2006. 3-0 in the big winter league season. Although the schedule looks to toughen up a bit as we play the "Alumni from the other school in Northfield that plays ultimate, but never had any success". Kind of a weird team name. The only real rule is you will never be able to switch from one group to the other. Well, maybe it is possible, but I have never seen it. I bring this up b/c we played a team with a couple guys who you co...

timmy's blog: September 2005
http://timmy930.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
A kind of ultimate frisbee blog. We will see how it goes. Friday, September 30, 2005. Sectionals Part II - the Minnesota years. 2002 - sectionals in Blaine. This was right in the middle of our turmoil, but we were just too talented at this tournament to lose. Madison was solid, just too young. I do not remember much besides the obscene # of Callahans we got that weekend. Eric, Winey, DK, and Seth G. Fun stuff. There you go, 10 years of sectionals, 7 out of 10 sectional championships baby! My prediction: ...

timmy's blog: March 2006
http://timmy930.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
A kind of ultimate frisbee blog. We will see how it goes. Monday, March 27, 2006. Major League Ultimate. That was the subject line on a recent e-mail that I received. This should be interesting, after reading it and realizing that I won't be making a million dollars a year anytime soon (at least playing ultimate). I read it again. I am sure most people who read this are familiar w/ Mr. Toad who used to post a couple times on rsd. The hope of this tourney is, I think, to spark interest in a Ultimate Frisb...

ultimatejournal: Quick Nationals Sunday Morning Post (please excuse formatting.. running out of time)
http://ultimatejournal.blogspot.com/2014/10/quick-nationals-sunday-morning-post.html
Sunday, October 19. Quick Nationals Sunday Morning Post (please excuse formatting. running out of time). Well, at least my intent is to make it quick. To start with, the ultimate has been rather strong in the games I have seen. This may be selection bias (Follow Scandal around and you'll see some good ultimating) in part, but the games have been compelling for the most. Comebacks, teams playing unafraid and the like. On to the numbers:. 4 points under 2 minutes. 3 points btw 2 and 3 min. 1 This game, whi...

ultimatejournal: Mid Atlantic Regionals 2014 Sunday
http://ultimatejournal.blogspot.com/2014/09/mid-atlantic-regionals-2014-sunday.html
Monday, September 29. Mid Atlantic Regionals 2014 Sunday. So now these teams should all collude, right? I mean that, in the long run, it is now better if Scandal and Green Means Go to both finish as high as possible at Nationals, right? If Both finish in the pro flight, then the region gets two automatic bids for next year, if my reading of the TCT guidelines is correct. So then. should they pool resources to do as well as possible? Should they share scouting reports and tips? Same for Amp and Amp? As fo...

2 E's, 2 L's and a Z in there somewhere. It's business.it's business time.". Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Couldn't resist a Sports Guy quote of the day:. I like Ron Artest. He's my favorite NBA player who was ever suspended for a season for attacking a fan.". Posted by Schmelz @ 12:02 PM. Where was The Spew. When I needed it in college? Idris recently wrote a great post. It's just amazing to me how seemingly obvious points like those made by Idris and especially those in Zaz and Parinella's book. At one...

Ultimate: This Things I Believe: March 2010
http://rjhberg-disc.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 9 March 2010. Was in Brisbane for the BCI at the end of February. HoS was quite understrength, but it was still a worthwhile tournament. Self refereed gives right result. Informing a team-mate if they have made a wrong or unnecessary call or caused a foul or violation. Rules should be interpreted by the players directly involved in the play, or by players who had the best perspective on the play. It's a self refereed sport - we are ALL referees. I suffered my first serious case of cramp on the w...

2 E's, 2 L's and a Z in there somewhere. It's business.it's business time.". Thursday, August 31, 2006. Has the Ultimate Blog World died or just passed out? Posts have been a rarity (from myself as well, obviously) amongst the Ultimate community. Aside from running commentaries on tournaments, it seems that there may be only so much strategy and profound analysis to be done about ultimate. I had a sneaking suspicion that my posts would dry up pretty quickly as well when I started this blog.
