Thursday, June 14, 2012. First off, I love this new stage of conversation that Owen is in. He loves to have one, and tries really hard to participate (quite often he gets tongue tied because he wants to talk as fast as me, and match my word count). Owen had a bad dream last night. He woke up twice screaming for daddy. When I got him the second time, he was saying "Scawee". When he woke up this morning I asked him if he had a bad dream. He, of course, replied "Yeaa". Thursday, February 16, 2012. I know V-day was days ago, but I can't help myself from listing all the things I love about you, Owen:. I love that you say "jammies" and that you love picking out which "jammies" you want to wear. (they are usually elmo or monsters). I love that you wake up in the morning, yelling "mommy, mommy! And sometimes "mommy, snuggle! I love that I can make you laugh, at any given moment. I love that you call your wrinkly little hands "rice" when you've been in the bath for too long.

Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Our first trip to Florida. As Sam was rotating in Florida for the month of August, James and i decided it would be the perfect time to visit. We had a long flight over (complete with a man elbowing me in the ribs anytime the sleeping giant in my arms made a move) but we made it safe and sound. This morning Sam saw him and said "Hi Baby" James replied, "Hi Da" and they did that back and forth about 6 or 7 times. Amazing. If you ask him "do you want milky? He will say "yeah! If you ask him "do you want to go to bed? He will answer "uh uh! Sometimes it is hard for m to believe an 8 month old could communicate so well, but he does. He can now pull to stand.
