A Teacher's Ruminations: It's the little things...

http://www.ateachersruminations.blogspot.com/2015/05/its-little-things.html

This blog is a place to ruminate on the problems of teaching. If I am thinking thoughtfully, my posts will hopefully raise more questions than answers. By problematizing teaching we reflect on those questions that are constantly behind, in front, and at center of everything we do in the classroom. Feel free to comment. I'd love to hear what other teachers are thinking about on these and other issues. Cheers! Tuesday, 12 May 2015. It's the little things. It's the little things that matter. Everything's go...

Getting A Little Lost. Whoa, hey there. It’s been a while. I was on hiatus. I guess you can call it that. Truthfully, I was lost. I still am a bit lost. Graduation, adulthood, moving home to live in your parents basement, driving 75 miles to and from work every day, it all can be a bit exhausting. You blink and before you know it 8 months have gone by and you’re a doing the same thing day in and day out, and God forbid anyone disrupt your routine. So let me bring you up to speed from the 8 month blink.

Newer posts →. February 11, 2015 · 2:39 pm. A Very Brief Review of The Lazarus Rumba by Ernesto Mestre. So, during this previously unplanned February break from school, I was determined to finish it. And, as it turned out, once I started reading in earnest, I couldn’t put it down. Once again I proved my own theory, and one that I often share with my students:. Despite some misgivings about Mestre’s political stance in the book, I am planning on reading his second book,. The Second Death of Única Aveyano.
