Athabasca Glacier Artifact
Dedicated to the explorers and surveyors of the Athabasca Glacier. On May 9th, 2013 while hiking near the Athabasca Glacier, I found an artifact that stirs the imagination of any alpine enthusiast. While casually hiking down from viewing the Athabasca Glacier, I peered down into a deep footprint in the snow, and my eye caught a small brown object half buried in the snow. Over time I will be adding as much information as I can find on this object and any potential history behind it.
