I've Crawled Out of My Cave . . . And into the light again! Apparently, Ryan claims I was a bear to live with for the past couple months of our Kentucky adventure. What, me? I'm ALWAYS in a good mood! Well, I am now, anyways. Because I got a job! That's right, after my week of love with Orson Scott Card* I will be working as a website article editor for the University of Kentucky. Neighbor: What do you do? Me: (shrugging shoulders nonchalantly) I'm an editor. Neighbor: Wow, really? Under the ash tree.

Man, U've got to see this! The crew sitting at the Manchester United stadium. Paul and me. Me and Paul. Paul and I met on the tram to the ManU grounds and he got off on our stop and walked us to the stadium. He is a linguist with seven languages on his resume and a needlepointer. Seriously. Rant #3: The Illusion of Imperfection. How's everyone doing out there? Here is my next rant on the year: people that use the following phrases on their blogs:. Not to pat myself on the back, but . . . " Translation: Congrats, you just did. Need a ribbon to go with that? I'm just not working hard enough! Community - in or out? I've been thinking that Kentucky has been good for me in many ways. Being here, not knowing a soul and having no (superclose) friends and family around has allowed me to discover things about myself that I didn't know. Here we are not part of a preset "community."
