http://myironmanswitzerland2009.blogspot.com/2008/10/how-this-craziness-began.html
Sunday, October 5, 2008. How this craziness began. Become addicted to triathlons and there is no 12-step program. As a result, I decided to join a team of other triathlon addicted folks so I could share the sweet, sweet misery. I ran into Team Z at a race in 2007 and noticed they were eating cheeseburgers and drinking beer near the finish line. Say no more – I knew this team was for me. Sprint: 750 meter swim, 15 mile bike, 3.1 mile run – give or take. In 2010. Then I met Jason…. Jason is a teammate who ...

Es Tri's: Freezin’ For A Reason – Polar Plunge “Race" Report
http://myironmanswitzerland2009.blogspot.com/2010/02/freezin-for-reason-polar-plunge-race.html
Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Freezin’ For A Reason – Polar Plunge “Race" Report. This past Saturday was the Freezin’ For A Reason Polar Plunge. To raise money for Camp Sunshine. I also prepared my “race” outfit that consisted of sparkly tights, a skirt, bathing suit top, a cape, red mask, red swim cap, and some gloves. That’s right, I was going to plunge as a Superhero…an IRONWOMAN to be exact (cape said FEXX – FE=Iron, XX=Female). IT WAS F-ING COLD. SERIOUSLY F-ING COLD. Unofficially - I won. I mea...

Plain Simple True: July 2010
http://plainsimpletrue.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Complicated person in constant pursuit of simplicity. Stories, rants and photos about a journey towards the simple life. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. So my latest philosophical rant: our current economic crisis. So many people are stunned and disbelief that something so tragic can occur. Maybe I should create a t-shirt with a stick figure knocking their head against the wall and the statement Life is Hard. Collin's Fitness Journal: I Started... Again
http://logmyruns.blogspot.com/2009/01/i-started-again.html
Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, United States. View my complete profile. Monday, January 5, 2009. I Started. Again. I did it. I started my training again. There's no turning back now, because I only have 17 weeks to train for the LaCrosse Marathon. This week, I'm doing three fairly easy 2 mile runs (on the treadmill of course) just to get back into the swing of things. Thanks to Carol for pointing me to her blog post. I did my first exhaustion test on Saturday, and I was only able to complete 35 good-form push u...

Complicated person in constant pursuit of simplicity. Stories, rants and photos about a journey towards the simple life. Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Until further notice, this blog is on hiatus. Probably until about June. I am sorry that I didn't post sooner. As many of you already guess and expected, I spread myself too thin. Graduate school, pregnancy and work are not a good combination for creating engaging blog posts and actually posting them! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 6 Don't think, do!

Wednesday, April 25, 2012. A rock in the ear. Earlier today Shelby got a call from Riley's preschool teacher saying that one of his friends had put a small rock in his ear. I took my lunch hour at his school to (hopefully) get the rock out. Some pictures. Sunday, April 8, 2012. If there was ever a question these two were siblings. This is the kind of photo the kids would prefer. Happy Easter all. He is risen indeed! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A rock in the ear. Our Wedding - 7/9/05.

http://valduff.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Diary of a Recovering Runner. After years of attempting to become a runner, I finally trained for - and finished - my first marathon. This is a chronicle of the training for that first gigantic goal and all the insanity that comes after crossing the finish line. Tuesday, October 5, 2010. Be big and fat(ter) before too long if I don't get back into things soon here. Ok, now I'll step away from the "woe is me" thing. For real. Posted by Val Duffinger. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tri's and Tribulations: July 2015
http://trainingmo.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2015. At Long Last - requited love and pain at the Hardrock 100 - 2015. Sometimes driving now, I turn my radio off, and it feels like I am still in the San Juan mountains. Little Molas Lake environs. One of my favorite feelings during hundred mile races is to get to the 70-80-90 mile mark and realize that “Geez, I’ve been going for X hours, here it is MILE 90 and I AM STILL RUNNING! Hardrock Sister, Susan. Husband/Crew Chief /HRH veteran keeping me calm and happy. And then we were.
