A Trek in Nepal. February 11, 2014. July 23, 2015. As I prepared to leave Tokyo after a week of work, I was ready for the reverse ultramarathon back to Boise: two trains, two planes, and a brief ride home via my wife. The trip theoretically takes around 19-20 hours including pauses between transport. Instead it took over two days. I did not expect the ideal case, not when Tokyo had one of the biggest snowstorms of the last 15 some years the day before as I tackled a mountain run. Special Express, check.
