A Tiny Home Companion. A detailed look into the building of our tiny home, ideas and concepts we used, tips and links to other tiny home sites we like. Thursday, March 12, 2015. Getting the doors done was like that for me. Grooves cut into the trim boards to accept the plywood panels and to join the ends together. All this was done with the table saw. Checking the joint fit. Kitchen Cabinets - Part 2! The dividing walls being put in place. We used a lot of left over 3/4 inch plywood on this one because the sides would be covered by the appliances and not seen. Starting to look like a kitchen cabinet. Again, scrape leftovers being used as you can see by the slightly stained boards. :). I wanted deep d...

The Finishing Touches. We spent Valentines weekend finishing up the bedroom area. We got everything we wanted done and still had time to enjoy a nice meal out with friends. We took it back apart to stain it. We stained the baseboards also. We used the same cabernet color stain we used on the rest of th...This ...

Our Propane Tankless Water Heater. We got ours from Amazon. We payed about $170.00 and the reviews from others using them were good. Most people that go with propane use a Marey unit. We went with the 5L unit. First thing.we had to cut a hole in our roof.again! Everyone knows this makes me extremely nervous. The pipe finished on...

The above "donuts" were made from this recipe. I've also u...

Urban mama. Chickens. A pug. Some cats. Artist. Freelance editor. Herbalism, gardening. Hiking, biking, cooking. Knitting, sewing, quilting. Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Nope, I didn't misspell Daliha's name! I made this quilt in about 2 days- maybe 8 hours total? I had started it at #EpicMeetup2015. It's a simple patchwork with a few nine-patch squares for fun. I machine bound it (because I was in a hurry- normally I wouldn't do that because I can never make it look as good as when I hand sew it in.). Notici...
