This was an old creek bed that ran between N Highland and Lake/Sincair and when it was a giant surface lot for the Mead factory, it flooded the houses to the east frequently. The retention pond at IPV helped tremendously but when this part of 280 is running, I think the problem will be solved. I call it Mount Victory Sandwich.

Looking east along Hunter St., now Martin Luther King Blvd., from the intersection with Broad St., ca. 1928. Our Atlanta Cyclorama conservation team visited last month to test the best way to roll and later rehang the painting. Based on the results, they’ll be applying specially made polyester cloth with sewn in flexible metal and grommets to the top and bottom edges of the painting using adhesive gel and tools designed specifically for the Atlanta Cylcorama.
