El barco hasta ahora tenía un piloto automático, un Autohelm 6000. Se ha añadido uno nuevo, un Raymarine S3G con la unidad de potencia hidráulica (la vieja es mecánica). Toda la parte eléctrica de los dos pilotos ya está montada y probada. Sólo falta la instalación de los dos brazos en el eje del timón y colocar las unidades de potencia. Ya se le han dado los últimos retoques al motor. Se ha instalado un cuadro de arranque interno para en caso de avería del cuadro exterior poder arrancar desde adentro. Además sirve para arrancar el motor cuando estemos fondeados para cargar baterías y no tener que salir a la bañera. También se ha colocado un acoplamiento elástico para eliminar vibraciones. Así preparamos el Cap's III durante más de un año. Mejorar la seguridad, una buena navegación y el confort a bordo han sido nuestros objetivos.

Ya tenemos el botiquín completado. Hemos partido de la lista exigida para clase A. La pega es que para llevar todo ese botiquín haría falta un barco de 80 pies. Nuestra médica consejera Maria José nos ha ayudado a hacer una selección de los medicamentos más importantes que no pueden faltar en el Cap's. Ya tenemos montados los dos pilotos automáticos. El más importante y nuevo se ha instalado sobre la cuña reforzada donde estaba situado el único piloto del que disponía el velero. En la cuña se ha montado un herraje que permite poner un segundo piloto. Sólo queda darle un lavado de cara al antiguo piloto con una manita de pintura. Presentación del piloto viento. El otro día estuvimos preparando la colocación del piloto de viento. Dado que Jose ya había instalado el piloto en su anterior barco, le pedimos que viniera a ayudarnos y junto a Martina y Tomás estuvimos estudiando la jugada.
