Sharon's Pics: Sketching hares
http://sharonwilliamsonart.blogspot.com/2015/05/sketching-hares.html
See what I'm up to on the art front! A couple of weeks back I found a field full of hares near to where l live, and took some (fairly distant) photos - not great pics, it has to be said, but good enough for sketching from. Lots to keep me occupied! These are all done using a biro (Bic fine). 29 May 2015 at 20:27. Youve really captured their spirit. 29 May 2015 at 21:50. They are just lovely to draw :-). See what I'm up to on the art front! A couple of weeks back I went to a most excellent collagraph workshop, run by printmaker Sherry Rea. Who, rather conveniently, lives in a village just up the road from me. The five of us who attended all enjoyed the workshop immensely! Here are some of the prints I came away with (the sheepy one inspired by my holiday in the Yorkshire Dales! Sepia acrylic ink, plus water applied via a spray bottle (a bit random, but there's the fun of it! Labels: drawing and sketching.

Sharon's Pics: Water shrew studies
http://sharonwilliamsonart.blogspot.com/2015/08/water-shrew-studies.html
See what I'm up to on the art front! Some quick studies of a water shrew. A volunteer doing pond dipping at the local nature reserve found this recently deceased beastie. I took it home and man aged a few quick studies but it was getting a bit whiffy. Did you know it has venomous saliva? Wonderful to find, I have never seen one before! Sharon's Pics: April 2015
http://sharonwilliamsonart.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
See what I'm up to on the art front! A change in the weather. I don't often get the paintbrushes wet these days, but felt inspired to have a go after a wet and windy walk around the fields here the other day. After a nice settled spell of warm weather, this is what it's been like for the last few days! Watercolour, ink, wc pencil, quarter sheet. Drypoint paper plates - something different! Printed area is A4 or thereabouts. Spring arrival at Wicken Fen. The Bird List print project. A hint of Spring.

Lots to keep me occupied! These are all done using a biro (Bic fine). A couple of prints from a small collagraph plate, with added watercolour, based on a picture I took at a local nature reserve. I do enjoy the slight variation that comes with printmaking (my printmaking anyway! Paint...

http://sharonwilliamsonart.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
See what I'm up to on the art front! Yorkshire dales collagraph prints. A couple of months back I did a printmaking workshop with Sherry Rea. And following on from that she very generously offered the workshop group a day of open access in her studio. So we reconvened a few weeks later and got printmaking again! So, here they are. I need to pick a favourite to get framed, but I don't know which one I like best! And here's the collagraph plate. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). And welcome to Sharon's Pics!
