As we enjoy our walks, we walk on land that belongs to someone and we are his or her uninvited guests. Landowners are generally trusting folk and often do not object to our walking across their land but do not abuse this privilege and that is what it is. Do not litter, and that includes your biodegradable banana skins etc. Why not carry an extra plastic bag to remove any litter that you find in remote areas and mountain summits.
