Lili in the Kitchen: March 2009
http://lili-in-the-kitchen.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Lili in the Kitchen. Me chatting about food, family, friends and travel. Sunday, 29 March 2009. This weekend was a busy one. Starting with a night out with the girls on Friday to see Dave. A really good local band who do the BEST covers. We planned to eat out first, then meet other family and friends at the gig. Unfortunately we then got a call to say that the band had had to cancel as the lead singer, Paul, had pleurisy. So we enjoyed our meal out and had an early night instead! Is a favourite for lunch.

Lili in the Kitchen. Me chatting about food, family, friends and travel. Monday, 10 August 2009. So, before i get back to talking about food, here are some shots of my other holiday (which is now also a distant but wonderful memory.). And enjoyed some wine tasting) but mainly hung out at the house, being entertained by Ben, preparing nice food and drinking good wine. The house had a few cookery books which we flicked through for inspiration, this. Tarte Noir from the Patisserie. Links to this post.

Work has been busy and my weekends have been taken up with a short photography course (the results may not be obvious for a while as I need to practice what I've learnt! Sarah - first born, so pretty special. Http:/ thoroughlymodern...

1950s Australian Vogue magazine: interiors. The Australian edition of Vogue magazine started in 1956 as a quarterly supplement to British Vogue. And it contains some gems! There used to be quite a bit of interior decorating and sewing advertising and articles until Vogue Living came out in the early 80s. Here are some pictures from the first two years, of [.]. Archive for Op shop finds. Recent op shop finds. I’ve bought heaps of glassware, which I’ll photograph later, but these are some of my favourites from the past few weeks: Found at Salvos in Fyshwick, a Danish-style mid-century modern chest of drawers. It’s got solid teak trim and handles, and an unusual plywood veneer. One of the drawers is stamped inside with “Gainsborough” and [.]. Continue reading ». Recent op shop finds. Continue reading ». Canberra, 1955: Home Beautiful special feature. In my large pile of vintage home and fashion magazines, which I am slowly scanning my way through, there is this:. A March 1955 special feature on Canberra. Canberra was a relatively new city, and after WWII, modern architecture sprang up everywhere alongside the original Californian bungalows and (almost Arts and Crafts) cottages. There are many excellent examples, and the best place to read about them is the Canberra House blog. Fashions, something you ha...

Leaving the city behind for the beauty of the Sierra Mountains. Thursday, July 09, 2009. Wow, here I am thinking that Blogspot deleted my blog due to inactivity (yep, haven't looked at it since that snowy Saturday morning over 3 years ago.) but it is here and Mountain Time is still ticking by. A couple of things have changed though. both Hubby and I have new snowmobiles - I outgrew The Happy Meal Toy, and Hubby's Old Yeller was well, old. Look for snow-fun photos soon! Leaving the city behind for the beauty of the Sierra Mountains. Thursday, March 23, 2006. Me and my new sled. We nicknamed it "The Happy Meal Toy" because if you were to ever find a snowmobile in a Happy Meal, it would be this one - small and cute. :). Looks like it even has a Bitch Pad on the back. That must be where Shidan sits, right? You are a very gifted writer. Im surprised you dont have more people linking to this. Yüz Germe. I found it on Bing. You have made my day! Hi………….
