In 2014, Harald Edens reported ten cases of photographically detected natural quinary rainbows. Recorded during 2009-2013 in New Mexico, USA, at altitudes of 1.8-3.2 km. On the fifth of November the diamond dust season opened in earnest, when Esa Palmi photographed a major display at the Kittilä airport. While the sun side is always the attention gatherer, the main attraction of the display is really on the opposite part of the sky, where a strong subanthelic arc dominates the scene.
