Nova Scotia – continued…. In the morning we met a friendly jogger who noticed our Alberta plates (which always makes for a long story as we are not from Alberta at all) before beginning the climb of the first mountain of Cape Breton island on the Cabot Trail, one of my favourite places yet, (probably partly due to the snow! I had a couple of driving lessons on these windy steep roads which gave me good practice for getting back to wales! Ahem…Yellowstone in a few weeks time! Continuing on the Cabot trail...

Day 1 of our Rockie tour started with heading south towards the crowsnest pass with a week or so itinerary planned through three ranges of the Canadian rockies, Kootenay, Yoho and Jasper national parks:.
