A trip to the unknown. Dinsdag 26 april 2011. The next day we still stayed in Phnom-Penh, the capital of Cambodja. The name of the city means the hill (Phnom) of Penh. Legend says that a woman, named Penh, found four Buddha statues that were driven ashore by the Mekong. The woman placed the four Buddha statues in a place of worship (gebedsplaats). It is a region that has never been hit by earthquakes, typhoons, hurricanes, or volcanoes. Sabah also means good morning in Arabic. A trip to the unknown. Maandag 2 mei 2011. Borneo: a boattrip on the klotok and jungletour. One of the last day of our trip. I can’t say it enough it was great! After we visited Sabah, we hired a klotok, a type of boat for four days in Kalimantan. We also saw lots of monkeys and probiscus our last night when the sun went down, we went through another specific area where we saw many fireflies together and so the area was slightly reduced.
