Blog for the aspiring adventurer. Blog for the aspiring adventurer. Posted on July 4, 2014 by Jesse. About a month ago, I published my third State of the Blog. Post In it, I talked about my interest in connecting with others who will walk the Shikoku Henro. People walk the Henro for all sorts of reasons. And it’s very much worth hearing from people who have committed but are still in that period right before the start of the trail, where uncertainty dominates. I want to introduce you to. Later on my trip...

Blog for the aspiring adventurer. Blog for the aspiring adventurer. My third time to Japan, and I am so excited by the 88 Temple Pilgrimage — a 750-mile journey around Shikoku island and through rural Japan. Getting a multitude of perspectives on this natural wonder with a 5-day hike from the South Rim to the North Rim and back to the South Rim. A 21-day thru-hike of the gorgeous John Muir Trail, which begins in Yosemite National Park and stretches 212 miles South to the summit of Mount Whitney. Leaving ...

Blog for the aspiring adventurer. Blog for the aspiring adventurer. Posted on July 9, 2014 by Jesse. About a week ago, I posted an article written by Kelly. A Henro-to-be who is currently planning her pilgrimage, set to happen this Autumn. She wrote about her struggles of leaving her job, her expectations for the journey, and how she is preparing for it. I think it’s great to hear from people who are excited about walking the 88 Temple Pilgrimage and who are deep in the planning stages. I am unlucky to n...

Blog for the aspiring adventurer. Blog for the aspiring adventurer. Shikoku Henro Day 39. Posted on June 29, 2014 by Jesse. I was the last the leave the tsuyado at Temple 66, Unpenji, this morning. In any case, I collected my stamp, happy with the time I spent in the complex, and started down the hill, on which the temple is perched. I just realize now that I’ve left behind Ehime Prefecture (Attaining Enlightenment). I guess that means I’m almost done? I’m unsure as to why they lower themselves int...

09/03/2009 at 9:58 AM.

And I also knew about that the younger schoolmate which I recommended him to my leader. I felt sad because these people got what I didn't get, and I also thought that they were not so smart. In my past three-year-life, I lost the access to joining the best position several times, but I also won a success. So maybe Google is just an another XXX class for me. I want to stru...

Atypical Dad — Atypical Dad…or a typical Dad?
Atypical Dad.or a typical Dad? 88 miles per hour. What is the significance of 88 miles per hour? And what in the heck does that have to do with being a dad? Here are a few hints…. Doc Brown. Marty McFly. Flux capacitor. DeLorean. Biff Tannen. Back to the Future. Back in 1985, Back to the Future hit movie theaters and likely resulted in far too many teenagers trying to get their car up to 88 miles per hour to see if they could time travel. I’m sure I would have had I been 16 at the time. Or being a dad?
