If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, `Remove hence to yonder place,' and it shall remove. And nothing shall be impossible unto you. I don’t do well with words, so in addition to stories, I’ll share photos the unforgettable people I meet during my year in Haiti. Thank you to all who have supported me- this has been a truly humbling experience. 37 responses to “ About. May 6th, 2010 at 5:16 am. We are going to have a blast next year! Haiti Elliotts: Joy amidst sadness
http://haitielliotts.blogspot.com/2011/06/joy-amidst-sadness.html
Saturday, June 18, 2011. Jay, always a little goofy. He is so strong physically, spiritually, and emotionally that many times over this past week it seems it is us who have drawn strength from him instead of the other way around. It has been a hard week for the Shultz family but they are walking through this time with such amazing spirit and faith. Aaron and Totes at the wedding. Isabel, Syd and Jeremiah. With the ring bearer and flower girls. Ok, so I was obsessed with the beautiful flower girls! Know t...

Sunday, November 13, 2011. This past week as been full of emotions. Some really big highs, and some really big lows. I guess that was to be expected as we prepare to move back to Indiana after a year in Haiti. Jay and Amy Shultz returned for a visit to Haiti! Jay and Amy were the family that moved to Haiti alongside us but had to leave in June after Jay's accident. Not long after arriving on campus Jay climbs aboard the Gator to tour the campus. Jay and Amy with Narette and Clerice. It has been a crazy y...

http://haitielliotts.blogspot.com/2011/11/welcome-home-to-us.html
Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Welcome Home to Us! We arrived back in Indy around 6pm on Tuesday after a pretty uneventful (and nice) journey. We were surprised to see a whole group of people holding signs to welcome us home! Sitota immediately started running around and playing with all his friends! Our whole small group back together again! Dan and Margie Altekruse, me and Aaron, Sam and Emily Jackson, and Jeff and Sarah Gibbs. The kids are happy to be back together and causing trouble again!

Unimaginable Grief Unexpected Blessings. How to see blessings in the midst of grief. So how do you deal with that? Life is not fair. Life is hard. But some days, life is beautiful. Life is love. Life is free. So spend it freely. Love freely. Stare the unfair life in the fact and tell it to get lost. Do something that heals people. Feed the hungry. Mentor a young person. Build a community. Love yourself. By Grief Blessings on August 9, 2015. Posted in grief blessings. The Ups and Downs of Life. If you are...

Unimaginable Grief Unexpected Blessings. How to see blessings in the midst of grief. Caution – Days Ahead May Be Difficult. I starting writing a book because there wasn’t much out there for parents who have lost an only child. But I got stonewalled. Cannot seem to finish it because I can’t seem to put it together in a sequence that makes sense. I think to myself how can you make sense of it? Until next time,. By Grief Blessings on July 26, 2015. Triggers and Regrets | Unimaginable Grief Unexpected Blessings

Unimaginable Grief Unexpected Blessings. How to see blessings in the midst of grief. I was watching a commercial about Wicked the play and it just about brought tears to my eyes. My daughter Brittany loved the soundtrack to Wicked. She and her best friend Caro could be seen on many occasions with microphone in hand singing at the top of their lungs. I have some rough cut video of them singing over the soundtrack with what I believe would have been about six months before she died. Make our kids proud.
