home is where your skis is: The Hills of Idaho
http://thetravelingskier.blogspot.com/2014/01/the-hills-of-idaho.html
Home is where your skis is. The Hills of Idaho. If you don't listen closely it sounds like 'Idaho.' And with place names like Plymouth and Cascade, and words like "westward," you could easily pass it for "Hills of Idaho." The Bay of Biscay gives it away, as does references to sailors. It's worth a good hum, though, and it's still a nice place to land. Vetiver: Hills of Isle Au Haut. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Oft-Snowbound Wanderings of a Cultural Dissident. Well sweet girl, you are barreling into toddler-hood at full speed! 160;Every day we are seeing less of the baby you were and more of the little girl you are becoming. And what fun it is! 160;But you love your. Well, I can't lie.one of my favorite parts of your new toddler ways is your sleep habits. Child, you are *finally* sleeping like a true champ! 160;What if you started waking up hungry? 160;And ever since then you've been sleeping until 7-7:30 in the morning pretty consistently. So nice! Other t...

http://purpleshellybeans.blogspot.com/2010/05/update-from-great-beyond.html
Monday, May 10, 2010. Update from the Great Beyond. Oh, my neglected blog. It's like phone calls to that friend that you really want to keep up with but the longer you go between calls the longer you know the call is going to take and so you keep putting it off for that day when you have the great expanse of time to catch up and we all know that day never comes. So frustrating. Here is Violet on her second birthday with the amazing Elmo cake that her Mimi engineered:. May 10, 2010 at 9:14 PM. Or even bet...

Tuesday, March 3, 2009. I miss you every day. We tell Violet that you love her every time we hear a train whistle. You would have been the best grandfather ever. Purple Shellybeans: October 2010
http://purpleshellybeans.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 29, 2010. And there's been an animal in the crawl space under my house for three nights now. I've heard it scratching, heard it banging on the pipes and last night I heard and then felt. And is it rabid? And what the fuck do I do now? Last night was particularly loud and particularly scary and I was already tired from the two previous nights and it kept me up the whole night fretting. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Home is where your skis is. Exit, Phase Three: The Flight. Goodbye Old World. It's been a long three and a half years. When we arrived it was bitter cold and raining and the sky was slate gray. Today is hot and humid and the sun is bright and full of power. "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player." Etc, etc. "Signifying nothing.". Have you ever cried while running? Strange. I felt like flying. I did not stumble. Exit, Phase Two: In Faith We Leap. Well, how did I get here? What have you been reading?
