Growing up, I heard stories of my dad’s adventures flying in the Korean and Vietnam wars and dreamed of traveling to work in exotic places one day. I look back and realize how much my early life shaped the person I am now and how those particular experiences helped me to be as content thousands of miles from home as I am in my backyard, especially if I have a camera in my hands.
