Born 13th April 2011, our daughter Audrey. Sunday, 7 December 2014. Audrey has what we suspect is an ear infection, poor thing. We are heading off to the doctor today and suspending our usual busy schedule of music and ballet classes, meeting up with friends, going out on adventures. Born 13th April 2011, our daughter Audrey. Friday, 31 October 2014. Yesterday was the home ed early years group Autumn Treasure hunt. I started this last year and it went so well that I decided to do it again! I simply made a sheet of things to find, with words and pictures so that those who can't read yet can still join in fairly independently and printed out a bunch of copies. I handed out colouring pens so that each thing could be circled when it was found. It was a very beautiful way to spend a day.

Born 13th April 2011, our daughter Audrey. Monday, 9 June 2014. Audrey has reached the age where lots of people we meet ask us whether she's in nursery. We get quite mixed reactions when we say we're home educating - mostly people are curious. Are we allowed to do that? What qualifications do we have to have? Do we have to follow a curriculum? Get permission, be evaluated? Some people say they wish they could do it, or that they aren't brave or clever enough. So what does a typical home ed day look like?
