The awkwardness, the inability to remember why you had been angry when his face was not inches from your own, the way you remembered exactly where your hands were supposed to be. It was all there in that scene, captured beautifully by Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney, and we had just talked about it not a half an hour before so it was fresh in my mind.
