August Miller 801.718.1809 august@augustmillerphoto.com. Monday, April 19, 2010. Good photography is about problem solving: Fashion and Portrait. This happens all the time to just about every photographer. So what do you do? Whine and complain.as fun as that sounds it's not really going to help us get good photos. So what we really do is "problem solve". When I first get to the location, in this case a small clothing boutique type store, I look for a power outlet for my lights, and I definitely needed th...

Sunday, September 5, 2010. We went to the Labor Day Hot Air Balloon festival on Saturday morning. It was pretty cool. They are doing a "glow" tonight which is where they wait until it's really dark and then they pull the fire in their balloons to make them glow. It's pretty cool. I'll post some of that as well. Saturday, May 30, 2009. Cortnie's 4th grade Rendezvous Roundup. Cortnie and her cousin Toree. They are the same age and in the same class, how fun! Cortnie called me the night before her program and said "Grandma, are you coming to my program tomorrow night at 6? I have a part and I was wondering if you could come." Well, there was no way I could deny that sweet little voice! Cortnie had a big speaking part, she was part of a skit that was cute and funny and full of Utah history. I remember being 10!

Wednesday, April 28, 2010. I got some new Chacos and decided to put them on and hike down the "river." I don't know if you can even call this thing a river anymore, but none-the-less I hiked down it to see what I could find. I thought this was a pretty cool photo. Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Just thought it was funny. Going through the old photos and came across this one. This one just struck me funny because this photo is anything but "sharp". Sunday, April 11, 2010. Friday, July 16, 2010. This is another of the images that I really like. I like EVERYTHING about it. Don't ask why, just enjoy it. This is one of the friends that we hung out with today. Good friends, sad to say goodbye, but it's not far, we'll still come visit and you're more than welcome to come visit anytime you want! For some reason, I really like this image. I didn't end up shooting a lot today like I wanted to, but this one for some reason just has a good feel to it. Good times! The Fourth or Fifth.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009. This past Monday, the wife and I carved pumpkins with my family. It's always an interesting experience watching my niece doing stuff like this. She's not really one to get her hands dirty, so it was a pretty fun experience. Pumpkins turned out good, too bad it's going to be freezing and they are all going to rot anyways! Sunday, October 25, 2009. Red, White and Blue. Sitting in the Phoenix airport this weekend, I figured that I would auto focus my camera, set it on timer and se...
