Sunday, October 03, 2010. Its hard to believe September has come and gone so fast and now we are thinking about pumpkins and costumes. The weeks seem to pass even quicker with Gus now in kindergarten. He goes to school all day everyday and really loves the whole thing. We are grateful to have a good school and an awesome teacher for Gus. The biggest news lately is the arrival of Uncle Ben and Aunt Holli's baby, Ash Nelson. He was born on the 30th and the kids are so excited to have another cousin.

Sunday, November 07, 2010. Kids acting photogenic on a Sat. afternoon. The Grimm reaper, scary stuff! My ghost pumpkin that ended up looking more like Gumby than a ghost. Gus was a Transformer - Bumblebee- and Lucy was a fairy princess that she called "Pretty Ballet"- pretty cute. Other current events include Lucy enjoying showers and wanting to put her hair in a turban like I do every morning. Gus has started singing mock-opera which is hard to describe, but just trust me the kid sounds pretty good.

Saturday, January 08, 2011. Happy New Year Everyone! We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year's. The O'Briens came up - Grandpa Dick, Grandma Connie, Aunt Molly, Uncle Aaron, and dog-cousin Patsy. We ate, drank, opened presents, decorated cookies, watched out for Gary the elf, watched Griswold's Christmas Vacation. lots of fun times. Thursday, December 18, 2008. Lola and I attended a Christmas Party earlier this month. We attended the same party last year. I couldn't help but notice what a difference a year makes! From trying to nurse an infant in an uncomfortable chair in a dark room to chasing our little elf among the flaming candles, chocolate fondue, food, drink and glass decorations. No kidding. Wyatt explained it was a Christmas Tree. Her next words were "WOW! Our most exiting verbal communication yet! Happy Holidays to you all!

Thursday, February 19, 2009. We made a last minute decision to head to Kauaii for some fun in the sun. A salvaged and relocated plantation cottages from around the island. Hanging out on the "plantation" grounds. Lynel, Baby Ella and Grandpa visited for the weekend and NaNa Nancy earned her keep!
