John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. There is only one way to heaven and that is through the Saviour Jesus Christ. John 14:6 says, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. The Bible Way to Heaven:. Jesus, who never si...

My sweet husband decided to share his gunk with me and I'm been sniffling and blowing for days. Thank the Lord it is finally subsiding a little and I can see some clear breathing in my near future. I took the above photo the other day during my devotion. I love it when I find smilies in the Bible. This was in Romans but I'm sure they have to be everywhere. I lov...

Beliefs | MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME
http://ahomefarfromhome.blogspot.com/p/my-beliefs.html
I believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, preserved in the King James Version (1611) to be the verbally inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed, and are therefore the final authority for faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21. I believe in one Triune God, existing eternally in three Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut 6:4; Matt 28:18-20; II Cor 13:14; Jn 14:10,26). I believe that He is the Divine Teacher who assists be...

Useless Facts About Croatia :0). Thursday, August 17, 2006. This is for you Mrs. Cathie! Okay some normal day to day things in Croatia. We pretty much eat like Americans do. I mean I only know how to cook like a good Texan so that's how I cook. The only difference is pretty much everything has to be from scratch. We have almost no prepackaged foods here. I pretty much prepare meals like our grandmas did. Okay the price of food here in Croatia:. 1 liter milk is about $1. Sugar is about $1 for a lb. We pay...

My Missionary DOM Tour Part 1. Saturday, October 25, 2014. I had taken a bit of a hiatus from my blog a while back (strictly due to laziness) and during that time I really missed out on some things, like the Missionary Home Tour over at the Baptist Missionary Women. Blog I didn't even know it was going on till I saw Rachel's home tour on her blog, Rachel's Reflections. I'm too late to link up with the Baptist Missionary Women Home Tour link up so I'll just do my own! I had been refinishing random pieces ...

First Day of Spring Hike | MY HOME AWAY FROM HOME
http://ahomefarfromhome.blogspot.com/2015/03/first-day-of-spring-hike.html
First Day of Spring Hike. Saturday, March 21, 2015. I have seriously had Spring fever lately and to celebrate the first day of Spring we went for a hike to Grebengrad. Grebengrad was one of two major fortresses in this area around 1200 AD. Hungaria Counts lived here and soon moved the settlement to a nearby valley which is now Novi Marof. The walls of Grebengrad are still somewhat standing and it's a great hike up to this historical landmark. Look at these sweet little wild strawberries. Fnally this is a...
