Right there's not much I can do about this but have a bit of a rant and let as many people know about this as possible. the bottom image is by Kelly Hyatt at Lagom. For their Zootown range of cards. Kelly Hyatt has denied copying me in any way, which I find hard to believe. it seems this isn't the first time he's done this either - http:/ youthoughtwewouldntnotice.com/blog3/? I don't see how any self-respecting person could work like ths - but there you have it. And another thing. I was going to emai...

The Lindstrom Effect (and me). This is me by Vala of the unstoppable force that is The Lindstrom Effect. I absolutely love it. there's a whole load more including some medium format b/w ones she will make into argyrotypes - made direct from negatives on paper using the sun and some magic. I'm looking forward to see how that turns out. You can view more of their work (and me if you can face it) on their blog. http://uhohdeer.blogspot.com/2010/09/i-give-to-you.html
I give to you. I am an episode away from finishing BBC series of Brideshead Revisited. it's so perfect I don't mind I haven't read the book first and I admit I am a little bit in love with Jeremy Irons (c. 1981). it made me very happy to discover it has its own fuckyeah tumblr. oh, Brideshead, jolly good! I also just finished reading this collection of F. Scott Fitzgerald stories which I also loved (and I therefore conclude I was born in the wrong era and social class.). A nice monday song. Love the prin...

http://uhohdeer.blogspot.com/2010/09/halcyon-days-again.html
A halcyon (pronounced /ˈhælsiən/) is a mythical bird—often identified as a kingfisher—said to breed in a floating nest at sea during the winter solstice, during which time it charms the wind and waves into calm. Here's the final result of the re-work (remember this. Of an image I originally did for Canon Blue. It is an edition of 100, signed, numbered, archival - all the usual. for a limited time it's only $15 (about £10) p&p. 9 May 2011 at 06:04. Hi, i just found you! I love this picture :).

http://uhohdeer.blogspot.com/2010/09/no-shock-just-awe.html
No shock, just awe. I can't think of the words to describe how much I love this. if ever there was a reason why you should never give up what you love doing (even when you're not sure you love it or are even convinced you hate it), this, for me, is it. I always knew Robert. Was almost as good at painting as he is at being a friend but it's good to know I'm right. You can see more of Robert's recent work here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). holly black: When life gives you lemons…
http://hollynoir.blogspot.com/2015/12/when-life-gives-you-lemons.html
When life gives you lemons…. First published on Going Local Going Green. When life gives you lemons, don’t worry. Even if you can’t begin to imagine what lemonade looks like, never mind what it might taste like, don't worry. If you lose your lemons, it's okay - they are still out there somewhere, and in all likelihood, they’ll turn back up on your doorstep when you least expect them. Going Local Going Green is this research project. Certainly not me 12 months ago. Right now, my lemons are doing alright&#...

holly black: The child has a hundred languages
http://hollynoir.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-child-has-hundred-languages.html
The child has a hundred languages. No way. The hundred is there. Is made of one hundred. A hundred ways of thinking. Of playing, of speaking. A hundred always a hundred. Of marveling of loving. For singing and understanding. A hundred worlds to invent. And a hundred hundred hundred more). But they steal ninety-nine. The school and the culture. Separate the head from the body. They tell the child:. To think without hands. To do without head. To listen and not to speak. To understand without joy.
