Police say a 24-year-old Austin man struck four vehicles and a house Wednesday before leaving his car and running away from the scene. Police Chief Paul Philipp said the man then drove in reverse, hitting another vehicle as he backed into the Freedom Gas Station and struck the east side of a house at 506 Oakland Avenue West.
