a cat of impossible colour: Harvill Secker Acquires Exciting Zimbabwean Debut Novel
http://acatofimpossiblecolour.blogspot.com/2004/09/harvill-secker-acquires-exciting.html
Friday, September 17, 2004. Harvill Secker Acquires Exciting Zimbabwean Debut Novel. Posted at 4:35PM Monday 10 May 2010. Hi - tried in vain for over an hour to find your book The Cry of the Go-Away Bird to download. Although I am a US citizen I was directed to Amazon UK and then in turn to Audible.co.uk where your book is restricted to UK (maybe and other) residents only but not those of us from the US. Any way I can get an eBook (other than Kindle)? A cat of impossible colour. View my complete profile.

a cat of impossible colour: October 2014
http://acatofimpossiblecolour.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 04, 2014. I have to say: Stress is particularly mind-twisting for writers. (Which automatically makes it emotion-twisting, too, since our work is our minds, and our minds become mush, and there is NOTHING less emotionally-stable in this world than a writer who CAN’T WRITE.)". a cat of impossible colour: Snorkelling
http://acatofimpossiblecolour.blogspot.com/2014/11/snorkelling.html
Wednesday, November 19, 2014. So much YES in this. I craved to be submerged, to be into. It was my very commitment to writing that kept me from it. I wanted so much for it to be that ideal, submerged experience that I put it off, saved it up. I longed for it, missed it, got bitchy about it, petulant, then again thought of it with a pang - an adored but long-gone love. What if the cherished one really isn't so beautiful after all? a cat of impossible colour: How to Kill a Dead Man
http://acatofimpossiblecolour.blogspot.com/2004/03/how-to-kill-dead-man.html
Monday, March 01, 2004. How to Kill a Dead Man. I have never managed to get rid of mine successfully. I call him the White Man. Uninventive, possibly, but what else can you call a figure so white that he is a hole rubbed in the world, showing the blank page underneath? 8216;What is it? 8217; I yelled when the cat had settled on my stomach, shivering away some of the fear with its purr. 8216;Nothing,’ Dad would yell back. ‘Margie, tell the alarm company it’s nothing.’. 8216;What are you looking at? A murd...

a cat of impossible colour: November 2014
http://acatofimpossiblecolour.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Where has all the writing gone? I used to love writing. It was my default activity (that, and reading); everything else something I endured in order to get to the writing. I would hide my notebooks inside my hinged desk at school and write stories when I was meant to be paying attention or doing an exercise. I spent hours in these worlds, creating unlikely and intricate story-lines. I d. Rew maps of the places and pictures of the characters. I couldn't wait to get to work.

a cat of impossible colour: Two steps forward, one step back.
http://acatofimpossiblecolour.blogspot.com/2014/09/two-steps-forward-one-step-back.html
Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Two steps forward, one step back. I climbed out of the hole a little, then slipped back down for a few weeks. These past couple of years have not been much fun (inside my head - externally, they have been just fine), but I feel like I am pushing through to whatever is waiting for me. Hopefully that is increased creative freedom, vulnerability, honesty and self-acceptance. I'm hoping. I so appreciate those of you who have sent me cheering messages. Thank you. Review of The W...

a cat of impossible colour: Fairy House
http://acatofimpossiblecolour.blogspot.com/2014/09/fairy-house.html
Saturday, September 13, 2014. I've always had a soft spot for fairies. My first job was at a fairy shop, dressing up to run children's parties and writing a monthly newsletter. When I finished decorating my dollhouse (and I need to find another one - I'm jonesing! I made the furniture pieces from a $5 flat-pack puzzle set. If only I was five feet shorter.
