Authoress in the Making: Shhh... I'm reading.

http://authoressinthemaking.blogspot.com/2015/04/shhh-im-reading.html

Thursday, April 23, 2015. Or, at least I will be. Soon. We've established that I'm a terribly inconsistent blogger, right? Good We'll skip the apologies then, because I'm sure you're all tired of that by now. I'll take that as a yes. My NaNoWriMo class has come to an end and now I am left on my own. I no longer have a teacher holding a grade over my head - now it's completely up to me to continue writing and editing my novel. Prayers are appreciated. Oh, and Wonderland. By Lani Taylor and Throne of Glass.

Authoress in the Making: January 2014

http://authoressinthemaking.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 27, 2014. In a Heartbeat by Loretta Ellsworth. When a small mistake. Costs sixteen-year-old Eagan her life during a figure-skating competition, she leaves many things unreconciled, including her troubled relationship with her mother. From her vantage point in the afterlife, Eagan reflects back on her memories, and what she could have done differently, through her still-beating heart. There's just something I like in a book about death. I guess I won't know unless it actually happens.

Authoress in the Making: October 2014

http://authoressinthemaking.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Here we go again. NaNoWriMo did not go very well for me last year. To say the least. Last year I had an idea for a story - it was amazing. That was enough for me, I was going to do NaNoWriMo and write that book! I quit ONE WEEK into the month. After consideration, here's three ways I went wrong:. Apparently I couldn't write a novel at all. There were many tears. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. I hope you have more sense then I did, but just in case: DON'T EDIT AS YOU GO.

Authoress in the Making: Summer Reading!

http://authoressinthemaking.blogspot.com/2015/07/reading-things-and-stuff.html

Sunday, July 26, 2015. Ahem* I' m not even going to apologize for not blogging, because that's all I seem to be doing lately. Apologizing for not doing things I have promised to do. Alright, now that we've got that out of the way, let's get down to business. I'm going to talk a little bit about my summer reading and then (hopefully) in the next post I'll discuss Camp NaNo and how I've been doing with all that jazz. What have I been reading? And what is still on my shelf? But maybe I'll blog this week.

Authoress in the Making: February 2014

http://authoressinthemaking.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 19, 2014. My One Year Blogoversary! I had bright red (temporarily died) hair. I didn't know how to ballroom dance. I didn't know what a fandom was. I was the oldest of six children. I sat down at the computer and decided to start a blog. I have my normal brown hair again. I can dance the cha-cha, waltz, rumba, swing, samba, and foxtrot. I have too many fandoms to list without taking up this entire post. Today .I am blessed to be the oldest of seven children. 3 Most popular posts:.

Because he’s hot. Haha, well, maybe not. He’s. In a late-19th century kind of way. And because he’s the smartest guy in his class and grows up to be a doctor which probably pays, well, a ton, not to mention is totally cute and. This is a great list! Is There Such a Thing as “Girl Books”?? | rachelcoker

https://rachelcoker.wordpress.com/2013/03/28/is-there-such-a-thing-as-girl-books

Laquo; Sunday Stories: Rose – Part Three. Is There Such a Thing as “Girl Books”? In all the time I have spent traveling to different schools, libraries, and other groups to speak to kids, there is one thing I have observed: Both girls and boys enjoy listening to me talk. While this sounds totally egocentric of me to admit, I swear I’m saying it for a reason! That reason being–I never thought seventh grade boys would enjoy listening to me talk about anything! And why are boys so scared of them? You’...

An Easter Picnic | rachelcoker

https://rachelcoker.wordpress.com/2013/04/01/an-easter-picnic

Laquo; Is There Such a Thing as “Girl Books”? Video Blog: Hopes and Dreams. So I decided to skip the weekly Sunday Stories installment yesterday and spend Easter with my family instead! We got up at the crack of dawn, went to our church’s sunrise and morning services, and then came home and laid around and ate a ton of food. Naturally. But Saturday I had the opportunity to be *much* more girly and frivolous, thanks to the combined creative talents of myself and my good friend Ashlyn! Looks yummy : ).

Laquo; Back When I Wanted to Be a Broadway Star. The Top Five Imaginary Guys I’d Probably End Up Marrying. The Best Years of My Life. I’m graduating high school next month. OHMYGOSH. When did that even happen? One hundred and sixteen long months of questions, papers, equations, projects, and late nights are all wrapping up in less than thirty days (give or take a few, haha). I’m going to be finished with high school. Finished with this phase of my life. Oh my gosh. Me being silly with my sister. Would I ...

Laquo; Video Blog: Hopes and Dreams. Back When I Wanted to Be a Broadway Star. That was a crazy week! Sorry I have been a little bit elusive this past week, but I was busy working hard at the 2013 Midwest Homeschool Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio! It was amazingly fun trip and I felt so blessed to have been given the opportunity to speak in front of so many eager homeschool parents and students, and to meet them face to face and hear about their lives. Not that I didn’t totally love West Virginia! Becaus...

Is There Such a Thing as “Girl Books”? Sunday Stories: Rose – Part Three. I’m loving these Sunday Stories because I’m so lazy that it makes me smile to just copy and paste a story into a blog entry and call it a blogging day.😉 Haha… But seriously, it makes me smile to read through this story that I wrote when I was twelve! Way back when I knew nothing about writing or editing or the publishing process, and I was just writing because it made me happy.🙂. Hope you enjoy this week’s installment! My mouth m...

Laquo; Convention Season. The Best Years of My Life. Back When I Wanted to Be a Broadway Star. Caution: This post contains some very, very embarrassing old photos so please, no judgment]. You may have heard me talk before about my previous ambitions of being a Broadway actress/singer/dancer/all-around-star. It all started when I was about ten or so, and someone got me to watch “Phantom of the Opera.” Ding, ding, ding! We got all dressed up and I distinctly remember that being the first ever night I wore ...

Monthly Archives: November 2014. Aren’t Men Capable of Love? November 24, 2014. I didn’t like the message. Don’t get me wrong. I know that Taylor Swift isn’t exactly known for her philosophical and socially relevant exposes on our culture’s biggest problems. And I know there are a lot of people who applaud her new me-centered approach to songwriting. There’s nothing wrong with being an independent, self-confident woman who finds her worth outside of men and popularity. 8221;, we’re allowing this im...

Life is about to change in so many ways, and—even as a writer—I'm not sure I have all the words to describe the emotional turmoil in my head right now.
