Autism - AutismResearchNetwork.org

Generally, autism is diagnosed in children right at infancy and early childhood. The disability in the majority of cases develops gradually without any remissions. However there are rare cases when it is discovered later. In the modern medical practice there distinguished three main types of autism. Atypical autism is the third type of the ASDs and in medical terms is known as Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS). Such a diagnosis is set to people with milder symptoms th...

Autism Resource | A Source For Autism In The Media

A Source For Autism In The Media. Films, Documentaries, Books. Touch – New FOX TV series. January 27, 2012. On 1/25/12, FOX premiered their new drama series Touch. A show about a single father trying to raise his 10-year-old autistic, non-verbal son. I have been excited for this show as it revolves around an autistic child and has Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) himself starring in it! All in all, I find this show to be very promising and I enjoy some of the realistic elements it portrays! October 5, 2011.
