sleep wake hope and then: March 2014
http://sleepwakehopeandthen.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 29, 2014. I like things to stay the same. I like when people stay the same. I want to be a clingy clingy girlfriend, but I can't even really do that because he isn't physically here, and it is hard to be clingy when you don't see people in person. Because I want to just curl up in a ball all day and have boyfriend hug me forever, but I can't because he isn't here. That's a once-a-week-thing, if schedules coincide and work out well. I want to cling to things that are the same. I try googli...

sleep wake hope and then: May 2014
http://sleepwakehopeandthen.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 29, 2014. One of the things I am most afraid of is making other people upset or angry. This tends to be a problem. When other people are angry, even if I know it is not at me, I am afraid. Even if it is something completely unrelated to me. If my sister is mad at my parents for not letting her go out somewhere with her friends, I am afraid. But of course, I can't hide under my desk at work. Partially, the floor is disgusting. When I am especially afraid, all questions are a threat. And if I...

sleep wake hope and then: June 2014
http://sleepwakehopeandthen.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 29, 2014. I use tumblr for a few, very specific purposes. To look at pictures of baby animals and to find puns and other bad jokes. I maybe started it as an extension of this blog and definitely do have a bit of autistic people I like to read on there*, but quite honestly, it is mostly puppies. Today I found this piece of beauty. So I was gallivanting along on tumblr. And found this delightful little thing. And I really truly love it. And this puns was based off of one of my scripts. Which i...

sleep wake hope and then: Shampoo Thief
http://sleepwakehopeandthen.blogspot.com/2015/01/shampoo-thief.html
Friday, January 9, 2015. Here follows an example of my problem solving abilities:. So, the only logical answer was to become a shampoo thief until Christmas break, when I could resupply myself with shampoo. Instead, you got my deepest darkest secret of freshmen year (I was not full of deep, dark secrets yet at that time in my life): the months I was a thief every time I showered. (Also, now that I've actually thought about this story, I find it amusing although I'd likely be just as impractical today).

Because life is in the details. Send me an email. DSM-5: Autism Spectrum Disorder. ICD-10: Pervasive developmental disorders. Written by Nick Walker at NEUROCOSMOPOLITANISM. This tends to make the autistic individual’s subjective experience more intense and chaotic than that of non-autistic individuals: on both the sensorimotor and cognitive levels, the autistic mind tends to register more information, and the impact of each bit of information tends to be both stronger and less predictable. Somewhere bet...

Because life is in the details. Send me an email. DSM-5: Autism Spectrum Disorder. ICD-10: Pervasive developmental disorders. Monthly Archives: January 2014. January 23, 2014. I haven’t had a single job where I haven’t at some point been disciplined for not arriving on time. Usually, the complaint takes the form of “You’re always late! But aside from whether I’m actually “always” late or not, I do have a problem with timing things. If there is a specific reason why I need to be at the office ahead of tim...

Because life is in the details. Send me an email. DSM-5: Autism Spectrum Disorder. ICD-10: Pervasive developmental disorders. Clear rules are a thing for me. I don’t like ambiguity or rules that change from moment to moment without prior warning. Rules should be fair and applicable to everyone. So, I’m going to give it a shot and write down some rules for my blog. These will be as impartial as possible, so if you see me breaking my own rules, let me know! What you can’t. Do without my permission is quoti...
