http://thisweekincolor.blogspot.com/2010/06/rhubarb-strawberry-ice-cream.html
Picture of the Day. Thursday, June 10, 2010. Rhubarb Strawberry Ice Cream. Have you seen the latest issue of Martha Stewart Living? It too is devoted to color. Click on the image below to visit marthastewart.com for an egg-free recipe for Rhubarb and Strawberry Ice Cream! Two red things that go great together. Leave it to Martha to come up with this combo! I've always loved Strawberry Rhubarb Pie or Rhubarb Crisp. But I hadn't imagined it in ice cream. Genius. Well, give us the dish! Keep on Dreaming :).

This Week in Color: About
http://thisweekincolor.blogspot.com/p/about.html
Picture of the Day. I'm Jen. That's me in the photo, 2 decades ago. Like many of my contemporaries, I was obsessed with rainbows.and unicorns.and Michael J. Fox. While my infatuations with the latter may have matured, I am still in awe of the beauty and wonder of rainbows. There's something magical about their abilities to transform your mood after a rainstorm and spark your imagination. Overheard yesterday following a downpour: "I bet there'll be a rainbow. Look, there it is! And there's the end! Hi, I'...

Picture of the Day. Monday, June 14, 2010. Run Jane, Run! One of my bucket list items is to publish a children's book. AmberAlexander. Would be my artist of choice for illustration. In fact, the descriptions she writes about her paintings are inspiration alone for a children's story. Like the one above, of which she writes, "A pink squirrel named Jane steals a strawberry. Picture of the Day. Saturday, June 12, 2010. This Week in Photos. I suggested to my husband that it would be a good idea to "build a little sandbox" for Grady. He made a comment about just bringing in a pile of sand and I laughed it off. Then, we came home one day and there it was in our front yard - the mound! Boys will always be boys! But, Grady is loving every inch of it, so I couldn't stay mad for too long. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Lucille in the sky.

This Week in Color: Who Knew?
http://thisweekincolor.blogspot.com/2010/08/who-knew.html
Picture of the Day. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Did you know that "Turquoise" is the 2010 Color of the Year? At least according to the folks at Pantone.com. Pantone (which is known as the standard language for 'color communication') has even created an on-line community for "color enthusiasts" to share their favorite palettes. Are you color-crazy? Pop on over and check it out! As for the color of the year, I'm dreaming of white sands, turquoise bikini with matching bracelet and a slushy blue cocktail!
