Musings on life, travel, and memories. Friday, November 6, 2009. Lines from a poem. But maybe i am confusing this with neruda's pido silencio. Which always makes me cry. But today my mind wanders to the "season has us confused" and i vascillate over the silent changes evolving with each passing day, and the incidents that mark one's soul, a palimpsest whose traces require huge amounts of forgiveness. And the stuff at hand that begs attention, if forgotten will leave its own touch. Links to this post.

Without the compassion and help from people like Sir Nicholas Winton, many more European Jews would have lost their lives. Incredibly, Winton is still alive today residing in England at the age of 103.
