Saturday, November 8, 2014. Saying Goodbye to Nacuxa and my life as a PCV. The quote “no one said it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it” really describes my life as a Peace Corps Volunteer. There were times when I thought there was no way I could make it another week let alone two years in a foreign country. I am so happy that I can proudly say that I made it! I'm leaving my Mozambican family but returning to my American one. Vou ter muito suadades de vocês! See you in a week, America!

We are going to have the training on Wednesday and then hoping to start the tutoring program next week. Close up of the ata fruit. A look at how the local ...

Tuesday, September 23, 2014. An update through pictures. I haven't had a chance to sit down and write a blog post for awhile so I decided to post some pictures from the last month instead. After this week life will slow down a bit and I'm hoping to write another post. At the beginning of September our Moz 19 group of PCVs (peace corps volunteers) had our COS (Close of Service Conference). Here are some pictures of my Peace Corps family :). Anna B and I. Traveling in Mozambique is no easy feat, especially going long distances. Because of a JUNTOS conference held in northern Mozambique earlier this month, I had a great excuse (and a plane ticket! Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Our New and Improved Library! We still have tutoring every Tuesday and Thursday but now we have a space for everything and have activities for those kids who are not participating in tutoring. Wednesday, October 23, 2013. A blog in pictures. I have been really behind on posting blogs recently and decided it'd be faster to post some pictures from the past few weeks. Most of the pictures are from Dia dos professores (Teacher's day) on October 12th. I hope to have some free time this weekend and a break from grading to write another blog post. Until then here are some pictures from the past few weeks. :). Mozambicans love to dance. Here are most of my colleagues showing off their dance moves.
