Don’t get me wrong, during my professional year, I had a chance to sit silently by and watch my supervising teacher speak to the parents of his students and although observation is good (not great, but good), it never really prepares you for being the one in the hot-seat. It is not like the school has translators on stand-by for that sort of thing (though, it really would be nice).
