On a sunny day in May I took mommy and papa to the Ottawa Tulip Festival. Lots of pretty flowers! I gave this one a kissy cuz I like pink! Posing with mommy in front of the colourful tulips. The weather has been very hot lately, so I take mommy and papa to the swimming pool to cool off. Here I am showing papa how to do the doggy paddle. He's not very good at it yet, but with some practice he'll surely improve. After the swim I was a bit cold, which made me morose (on the bright side, check out my pirate's hat! Wednesday, October 6, 2010. I enjoyed swimming around in Mama's tummy, so she naturally thought I would enjoy swimming at the outdoor swimming pool too! Here I am in my goldfish swimsuit. I can lift up my legs! Papa took me out to the pool for a dip. The water's.um .feels a little funny! Hold me tight, dad! Afterwards I relaxed in Mama's lap and contemplated this beautiful world. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. On my one-month birthday Mama, Papa, big brother and I went to the Hindu temple in Ottawa for a special puja - a Vinayaka Ashtothara! I wore a pretty pink dress and my brother wore a dazzling white kurta that Aunty Jesal brought all the way from India. Mama looked so pretty in her cream and white sari! Saturday, July 10, 2010. I had lots of fun on Canada Day. Big brother Avimanyu took Mama, Papa and me to Andrew Haydon Park. Here, he is riding a big horsey! Then he demonstrated how to drive a big rig truck! Mama and I liked that! Then Papa took him to see Obama's helicopter (? Well, just a few days earlier, Manyu and Papa were reading a biography of Obama. Manyu was most impressed by the President's helicopter! And that is how Canada Day segued into Independence Day!
