Building a better Guatemala. Piedra Ancha is a community of about 300 people located deep within the desert mountains of eastern Guatemala. It’s a 3 1/2 hour drive from our ministry center to where we leave the road for the river bed. It’s another 40 minutes of 4×4 driving through the river and up the mountain to Piedra Ancha. Building a better Guatemala. Children’s ministry is an important part of what we do. Mike Black Ministries feeds about 200 Mayan children once a week at our El Rejón project. We added this dimension of reaching out to hungry kids in October of 2012. Malnutrition in children is a major problem in Guatemala and we hope to make their lives a little bit better.
