Sweet Caroline's Culinary Adventures. July 16, 2015. Remember how I went on a grilled cheese bender a little while ago? So one day I stumbled across this recipe for a Gochujang Grilled Cheese: http:/ www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/gochujang-grilled-cheese-56389469 from Chef Edward Lee who happens to be from Kentucky and who I watched on Top Chef. And I knew my gochujang had found a new purpose! Start by crisping your pancetta in a little olive oil. Set aside to cool. 4 slices whole wheat bread.

Sweet Caroline's Culinary Adventures. September 4, 2015. Cherries are my weakness. Ask anyone. I used to send KB to the farm stand on his way home from work when we lived in California. Especially during cherry season. There’s nothing better. Yes, they’re more work because they have those little pits in the middle. But it’s worth it. Sometimes, I give the. Sweet Caroline's Culinary Adventures. The Best Breakfast Sandwich…EVER! June 3, 2015. I’ve been making this breakfast sandwich for about 14 years. The same way. With the same ingredients. Because if it’s not broken, don’t fix it? Because how can you beat a bagel, bacon, eggs and cheese? Start by cooking your bacon in a frying pan. Place the cooked bacon on top of one side of the bagel. Place a piece of cheese on top of the egg. Close and consume. KB and the kids add ketchup, but I’m a purist. I can attes...

Sweet Caroline's Culinary Adventures. Clean Southwest Turkey Quinoa Meatloaf Muffins. August 6, 2015. I went on a clean-eating bender this summer. Yes I like to eat. But I also like to be healthy. So I find times when I cook clean somewhat refreshing. I try to come up with ideas for recipes that include flavor combinations that both KB and I like and then make it clean – no salt, low fat, low carb, no dairy, etc. Bake at 375 degrees for about 18 minutes (or until cooked through). Serve and enjoy! Rachel ...

Sweet Caroline's Culinary Adventures. Clean Mustard Almond Crusted Salmon. February 25, 2015. Salmon is probably my favorite fish. I’m not sure when my love affair with salmon started…maybe when I lived in Alaska? Anyways, the other day I had some asparagus and salmon and kind of wanted to throw together something different for dinner, so I made this mustard almond crusted salmon. It turned out delicious! Start by layering your asparagus in a baking pan. Place your salmon fillets on top, skin side down.
