Botanical Artist Denver Colorado. Oil on linen, 15 x 30. During a study abroad in Ecuador, we drove through the mountain villages outside of Quito on our way to Otavalo. Farming was prominent throughout the mountain regions, despite the hilly terrain. I was intrigued by how the plots of varied crops came together to create the look of a green patchwork quilt.
