A JOURNEY IN TRANSITION

A JOURNEY IN TRANSITION. Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Its a given that Bongs love their adda. Over a piping hot cup of tea. Its also a given that no Bong celebration or festival is complete without the rendition of the ever mellifluous Rabindrasangeet. But what is it between a Bong and food? Even the name of food is enough for a Bong to drool over, to slurp or even transport one to the savoury world of gastronomy. Or yellow lentil has to be bhaja. Or clarified butter and a smattering of garam masala. Is dif...

A JOURNEY IN TRANSITION: City of Joy

http://awaitingspring.blogspot.com/2009/11/city-of-joy.html

A JOURNEY IN TRANSITION. Sunday, November 1, 2009. Calcutta, the City of Joy, is where my fortune took me next after I completed school. To me the experience of this capital, till then, was irksome to say the least. I had faint memories of a dusty, noisy and an overwhelmingly crowded Sealdah. To me Calcutta was all "grey"-heat, dust, humidity! The sooner, the better. June 10, 2010 at 10:09 PM. So u r a small town girl. :) refer to song of BYH. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A JOURNEY IN TRANSITION: Mind in a Doldrum

http://awaitingspring.blogspot.com/2010/04/mind-in-doldrum.html

A JOURNEY IN TRANSITION. Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Mind in a Doldrum. The cool, balmy zephyr, the birds singing and the crispy warm vernal sun.The transportation of the mind in time and space is invariably accompanied with a complete detachment of the body as I was soon to realise. A SLUMBER did my spirit seal;. I had no human fears:. I seemed a thing that could not feel the touch of earthly years. No motion had i now, no force; I neither heard, nor saw. Awaiting Something Special

Bits and Pieces of My Life. Friday, November 26, 2010. My last post I had only found out that I was pregnant. I am now 27 weeks along and with only 14 weeks left. It is very hard to imagine. I am getting more and more ready for her to get here. Yes, we are having a litle girl! It is still feels somewhat unreal, but we are starting to get more and more excited. Mainly because we have the nursery started so it gives you a good feeling when you walk by there :). I just made them some supper for their payment.

Serving the Risen Son in Japan. This slideshow requires JavaScript. Who would have guessed. In Life in Japan. Temples often have a speciality like eye-health, good study performance, safe delivery of a baby. I wouldn’t know. I’m Protestant. I asked how he came to see himself that way, especially because I’d heard his parents were Buddhist. He said that he’d decided through reading books. At first he’d tried going to church but decided it wasn’t for him. There are lots of people like me in Japan. While th...

It may sound strange, but very few foreigners know much about Italy, even if you consider how many foreigners visit here every year. Sure, there are streets in Venice and Florence where Italian is no longer heard nor spoken.
