Tuesday, July 10, 2012. I wanted to take the kids to see the famous lighthouse in Crescent City, CA. We started out with dinner at the town's fancy restaurant. It was very delicious. Saturday, July 21, 2012. We wanted to go to see some tide pools but we weren't sure where they were. So we asked a ranger and he suggested this hike. He said that it was a little ways to walk - about a mile - but the beach was really secluded and the tide pools were great . On the trail to the beach. Tyler and Derek found some interesting sticks and rocks. We rolled up our pants and ventured into the FREEZING water. Fun fact: Starfish have no brains. Derek holding a starfish. Saturday, April 2, 2011. Today we went to the Poteet Strawberry Festival. It's the biggest and best festival in South Texas. I was skeptical of something so far out in the country but it was wonderful! Here is the Poteet yellow cactus flower of Texas. Here is the Poteet hay field of fun. We are so lucky to have a job where we can take vacations at the same times as our kids. We are truely blessed. We are also blessed to have such great kids to spend our vacations with.
