Thoughts on books, movies, TV, whatever. Saturday, April 11, 2015. Artemis Fowl: The Last Guardian. By Eoin Colfer. The final book in the series. The previous books was a bit lackluster, but this one was better. Overall the series is okay but not something I would highly recommend. While this particular entry had a reasonably tight plot, overall the series was somewhat bloated. I think Colfer could have accomplished the overall story in two or three fewer books. Mrs Pollifax and the Hong Kong Buddha.

A whole mess of The Saint books are available as part of the Kindle Lending library. Last month I read The Saint and Mr. Teal. Which makes much more sense. My main issue was this was more a political thriller than a caper book and therefore lacked the fun of some of the later Saint books. Princesses: The Six Daughters of George III.
