Newer posts →. 300 Years And Still. July 7, 2016. 8220;Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23. I try to imagine little Tom Watson, a boy in Elizabethan England, undoubtedly growing up in a strict Puritan home, wishing he could play with his mates instead of being confined to home on the Sabbath. Who were his parents and where did this family live and did he have a brother or a sister? How was it that the Lord laid claim on his heart? Thomas was not only am...

You the kingdom” (Lk. 12.32). I struggled over this title. To Christians these four words conjure up a scene, a song, a promise so deep that there can be only one meaning. Yet I learned about something new last week that brings another beautiful color to its significance. Sheep by Betsy Mclellan. We have also b...

Daily Archives: August 6, 2015. Behold the Lamb . . . . . August 6, 2015. White by Daniel Cacouault. Grey, Yellow and White. The folks in this young church are people of the Word. They know Scripture and are hungry for the whole gamut, not just the sweet stuff. They want to picture the six-winged Seraphim and the mighty angelic army. They are keen to ponder perplexities and all of the layered and deeply etched meanings of ancient Biblical phrases. Dazzling, brilliant jewels and fearful light and sound...

For the past few weeks I’ve been writing about evidence of God’s presence made manifest in our spring vacation. A couple of other lovely things occurred to me during those languid days. I don’t feel like talking about them today. Kept In by Erskine Nicol. About my totally inexpert opinions! I blush to remember. It does go to sh...
