The Penny Farthing: Musings of the Day: Wrongness
http://thepennyfarthing.blogspot.com/2010/06/musings-of-day-wrongness.html
A little ridiculous, old-school, and oh so stylish. Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Musings of the Day: Wrongness. I like to ease into the day at work by sipping a hot beverage and browsing online news (I like to think I make up for it in soaring productivity afterwards). Lately my browsee of choice has been the online magazine Slate.com. Where I can find articles covering everything from the oil spill, the latest How I Met Your Mother. Thoughts on governmental policy, and advice columns. Apparently, I do. A ...

The Penny Farthing: April 2010
http://thepennyfarthing.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
A little ridiculous, old-school, and oh so stylish. Monday, April 26, 2010. A Few Things of Craftiness. A few random things for today's blog. 1) I made a tank top shirt that I completely copied off someone else's project I saw. It was my Saturday project, and my Sunday outfit. 2) I got a fun package from fellow blogger K*tdid. I won a give-away on her blog (lucky me! And got two cozy and bright legwarmers recycled from an old sweater. So fun! 2) Speaking of K*tdid, she just opened her Etsy shop. The firs...

The Penny Farthing: December 2009
http://thepennyfarthing.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
A little ridiculous, old-school, and oh so stylish. Tuesday, December 29, 2009. We took care of a friend's little kitty over Christmas, despite Suki's complaints. Her name is Wilhamena, and she's pretty darn cute. And so much lighter to pick up and throw around- she was quite the cuddler. A bit of an explorer, too:. Now that Wilhamena is gone, Suki is a new cat. She's been happily claiming her rightful place on our laps, whether we want her there or not. Bye bye, kitty. Thursday, December 24, 2009. I did...

A little ridiculous, old-school, and oh so stylish. Friday, August 6, 2010. Shiny New Bike, Courtesy of Jesse. A long time ago Jesse bought a frame off craigslist, got it powder-coated a pretty apple green, and promised he'd build me a new bike. It took awhile. He was busy. But now it's done! I've already gotten compliments on it- all credit goes to Jesse. I've really got to get back out there. So now that the shifter is all better, we're off to explore! Now I just need a name for her!

I just love how cranberries float. The spread of food (after we demolished half of it.) Homebaked bread, corned beef, green beans, mashed potatoes.mmm! Suki wanted some, too. The Penny Farthing: February 2010
http://thepennyfarthing.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
A little ridiculous, old-school, and oh so stylish. Sunday, February 28, 2010. The Geography of Bliss. I finished The Geography of Bliss. By Eric Weiner the other day. It's non-fiction and a pretty fast read, but I really enjoyed it. I was wandering through Powells about a month ago looking for a new book when I came across this one. I may have been feeling a little down lately, so a travel book about happiness caught my attention. A dark, icy, cold island- why visit? We humans need each other, so we coo...

http://thepennyfarthing.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
A little ridiculous, old-school, and oh so stylish. Friday, July 30, 2010. The Tug of Travel, the Attraction of Roots. I've been settling in from our vacation this week, enjoying the familiar comforts of home. And reminsicing with photos. Mexico. Is so far away from Portland, in a lot of ways- our bottles of tequila look a little lonely sitting on the shelf here! And yet. I just want to travel. Yesterday I read The Lost Girls. Getting up and Going in Sorrento, Italy, 2005. On the flip side, I like the id...

The Penny Farthing: March 2010
http://thepennyfarthing.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
A little ridiculous, old-school, and oh so stylish. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Cable Car Tour Dress: A Modcloth-opy. A few months ago I found this dress on Modcloth.com, and just loved it. So cute and chic! But I didn't want to pay for it, so when I saw a similar pattern on BurdaStyle, I just had to make it. I bought some basic cotton off Etsy, and started in, and ended up with this:. Just a few issues with it:. And I love the buttons. Buttons are always very nice. Monday, March 22, 2010. It's been takin...
